Sunway Group started construction of its RM400 million Sunway Medical Centre in Seberang Jaya on September 2018 as part of the group’s RM1 billion healthcare expansion plans. Proposed construction of Sunway Medical Centre Seberang Jaya Phase 1 (SMCSJ P1) with 9-storey of Medical block & 7-storey of Carpark block. Planned to cater for an underserved segment in the Northern Region, including mainland Penang, Kedah and Perak. The 180+170 beds facility make it be the largest private hospital in Seberang Perai.
